Gåsø Odin er bygget på Sefine Shipyard i Tyrkia, og ble satt i drift i mai 2023. Den er på mange måter «lillebroren» til Gåsø Høvding, som i desember 2021 forlot det samme verftet. For det er mye av det samme i designet, bare at denne har to lastetanker kontra tre.
The vessel is equipped with the state-of-the-art technology with a focus on gentle transport of fish and biosecurity for the environment. It is prepared for any delousing system, and is equipped, among other things, with a DP system, a battery system for peak shaving and diesel-electric propulsion.
