Concept development and ship design have been important investment areas for Møre Maritime in recent years, with an emphasis on aquaculture vessels, such as live fish carriers, process vessels and service vessels. This contract strenghtens our commitment to this segment.

Gåsø Viking has state-of-the-art fish handling equipment. It is based on closed technology and meets the requirements of today and the future in terms of circulation, oxygenation, filtration, UV and RSW cooling. Hot and polluted seawater goes through grading during loading.

The cargo holds are box-shaped for trouble-free use of sliding bulkheads.

Fartøyet har diselelektrisk fremdriftssystem fra Siemens, med fire dieselmoterer på 1445 kW. Dekkskranene er levert fra Triplex med en kran på 84 tm og 80 tm, samt to på 75 tm.

All cargo tanks, pipes and channels are designed for efficient and automated cleaning and disinfection, and the vessel is prepared to meet future environmental requirements with regard to emissions of NOx and CO2.
